Wilderness Adventure

Over the weekend we went for a hike in Forest Park.  We did a relatively short hike: about 3 miles.

We have a set of maps of Forest Park, and we did the "Avenue of Trees" hike.  It's our favorite trail because it's where David proposed to me.

It was Sprocket's first time being out in the woods, and he seemed to enjoy it.  It didn't rain on us, however it was wet and we all got muddy.  Especially Sprocket!

We had such a good time, that we've decided to make it a goal to do all 9 of the hikes in our set of maps by the end of the summer!

Almost No Knead Bread

Yesterday David was on a bread making mission.  He made a triple recipe of tortillas in the morning.  We ate some with breakfast and froze the rest.  Then he made a yeasted flatbread to go with the curry that I made for lunch.  Then he made Almost No Knead Bread.  Isn't it lovely!

We ate the bread with dinner . . . and after eating so many kinds of bread yesterday, I think we are done with carbs for a few days.

Except maybe cookies . . . because he made a batch of those, too!

Duplo House

 I went over and hung out with Lacy and Mary this morning.  Mary and I built this fabulous, multi-color Duplo house.

Yep, that's a dormer window.  We're pretty cool like that.
